About Aircrack-ng
Aircrack-ng is a complete suite of tools for assessing WiFi network security. It focuses on monitoring (packet capture and export of data to text files), attacking (replay attacks, deauthentication, fake access points), testing (checking WiFi cards and driver capabilities), and cracking (WEP and WPA PSK). All tools are command-line based, allowing heavy scripting and automation. It works primarily with Linux but also supports Windows, macOS, FreeBSD, and others.
About Pwnagotchi
Pwnagotchi is an AI-powered WiFi auditing companion that runs on Raspberry Pi hardware and uses deep reinforcement learning to optimize its WPA handshake capture strategy over time. Built on top of bettercap, it passively and actively collects WiFi handshakes from nearby networks while displaying a Tamagotchi-inspired face that reflects its current mood and learning state. Wireless security researchers and hobbyists use Pwnagotchi as a portable, always-on WiFi audit tool that improves its effectiveness the more it operates in a given environment. The device learns from its surroundings using an A2C (Advantage Actor-Critic) algorithm, adapting its deauthentication and association strategies to maximize handshake captures for later offline cracking.
